MACUNGIE INSTITUTE
 

MISSION STATEMENT:  The Macungie Institute serves as a community center providing a place for the educational, cultural and social advancement of the residents of the Macungie area.

 

The “Friends of Macungie Institute” organization has received tax exempt status under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue code.  Contributions to the “Friends” are deductible under section 170 of the Code.  The “Friends” are qualified to receive tax deductible bequest, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.  The “Friends” have been classified as a public charity.

Sun, April 28, 2013 - Bingo, Macungie Memorial Park main building lower level, 1:00 pm.  Doors open at 12, CASH Prizes

Mon., July 8, 2013 – IronPigs Baseball at Coca Cola Park’s new “Red Robin Tiki Terrace” – join Friends for a great night of baseball in a unique seating section directly over the left field wall.  The Tiki Terrace includes an exclusive seating area, access to private beverage area and cocktail-style table seating, 2 1/2 hour all-you-can-eat buffet and unlimited soft drinks through the middle of the 8th inning.  Tickets are limited & available on a first come-first served basis.  Reservation deadline:  June 7, 2013.  $42 includes above plus your ticket to the game.  Call for reservations or more information:  610-966-7830

Sunday, Sept 22, 2013 - Vendors Bingo, Macungie Memorial Park main building lower level, 1:00 pm.  Doors open at 12 noon

Thur.,  Oct. 10, 2013 – Bus Trip to Steamtown National Park in Scranton, PA.  Be greeted by Park Rangers with Coffee & Apple Streusel Cake, then explore historic Steamtown National Park, enjoy a 20 minute train ride on the historic steam locomotive, tour museums or enjoy a film about trains; enjoy the beautiful fall leaves on bus ride to the famous & historic Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Resort on beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack.  Enjoy a family style meal with Yankee Pot Roast & vegetables; delicious chicken & biscuits with gravy; Amarosi Pasta tossed with Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce; and yummy strawberry cheesecake.  Following lunch, sit back and laugh at “The Joey Vincent Show” with singing, comedy and impressions.  We’ll enjoy a snack before leaving Ehrhardt’s Resort for the ride back home.  Leave from the MI around 8 am, return around 6 pm.  $84 per person includes everything.  Call for reservations or more information:  610-966-7830
