A pool permit is required

2009 Inspection fee for an above-ground pool is $95

2009 Inspection  fee for an in-ground pool is $190

The application fee for both types of pool is $50

Any type of non-commercial swimming pool which contains a water depth of twenty-four (24) inches or more shall conform with the requirements of the Borough's Zoning Ordinance and the 2003 International Residential Building Code (Chapter 41).

The Borough Zoning Ordinance requires the Pool to be located

An above ground pool must be enclosed with a fence of not less than four (4) feet in height above grade.  The fence could be a good quality chain link wire, wooden or other equivalent fence with a self-closing gate and not be less than ten (10) feet from the pool structure.   The pool enclosure can be a twenty-four (24) inch fence placed on the above ground pool structure with a self-closing gate or hinged steps that swing up and complete the enclosure.  The gate or swing up steps must be equipped with a suitable locking device (e.g., a latch type lock) to be secured when the pool is not occupied.
